Privacy & Data Protection Notice

1. Data Controller
The data controller for your personal data is Planeer, operated by David Kennedy, Jersey, Channel Islands. You can contact us about data protection matters at privacy@planeer.ai.
Jersey has its own data protection legislation — the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 — which is broadly equivalent to the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR. This notice is written for Jersey operation and multi-jurisdiction expansion, including the UK and EU where those rules apply.
2. Data We Collect

- –Payment information (processed via our payment provider — we do not store card details)
- –Property addresses and coordinates you search for or submit for analysis
- –Planning project notes, generated documents, public comments, and consultant marketplace requests
- –Any communications you send to us

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- –AI processing providers: Property addresses and analysis requests are processed via third-party AI APIs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) under data processing agreements that restrict use of your data.
- –Infrastructure providers: We use Vercel for hosting and cloud providers for database storage. These operate under standard contractual clauses.
- –Payment processors: Payment data is handled directly by our payment provider and is not stored on Planeer systems.
- –Marketplace professionals: Where you order a consultant report, we share the site address, contact details, and order notes needed for that professional to deliver the requested service.
- –Legal requirements: We may disclose data to authorities where required by law or court order.
5. Cookies
Planeer uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform, maintain your session, and understand usage patterns. We use:
- –Essential cookies: required for the platform to function (session management, authentication)
- –Analytics cookies: to understand how users navigate the platform (aggregated, anonymised)
You can control non-essential cookies in your browser settings.
6. Your Rights
Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, you have the right to:
- –Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- –Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- –Erasure: request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations)
- –Restriction: ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances
- –Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- –Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests
- –Withdrawal of consent: withdraw any consent given at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@planeer.ai. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Information Commissioner for Jersey (jerseyoic.org). If you are in another supported jurisdiction, you may also have rights to complain to your local data protection authority.
7. International Transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside Jersey and the UK. Where personal data is transferred to countries without an equivalent level of data protection, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other appropriate safeguards to protect your data.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction. These include encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no internet transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted to us.
9. Children
Planeer is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Notice
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or by a prominent notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
